

Canned Tomato Soup

Fall is here and for many of us, that means we are starting to put our gardens to bed. I have a fairly large garden so a lot of my time this summer was spent tending to the garden and bringing in a LOT of fresh veggies, including tomatoes. What I didn't eat fresh was washed, cored, and frozen. This is a great way to preserve your tomatoes until you are ready to process them.
The process was really simple. I removed the bags from my freezer and put them in my roaster to thaw out overnight. The next day after they were thawed I slipped the skins off and put them on dehydrator trays. to make tomato powder. That way I a not wasting anything.
